IHOP Flips It For The Kids on National Pancake Day

What’s better than free pancakes? Free pancakes for a great cause! Last Tuesday, February 25th, IHOPs across the country flipped it forward on National Pancake Day. Restaurants gave away short stack of their famous buttermilk pancakes to customers. In return, IHOPs in the Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana asked for donations for their local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital, Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago. Check out the photos below to see how locations, patient families and volunteers celebrated the day.

Lurie Children’s patient Aggie was ready to lend a hand to the team at an IHOP in Chicago on National Pancake Day. She made her very own pancake, complete with chocolate chips and sprinkles!

Miss Illinois 2019, Ariel Beverly, spent the morning at IHOP making pancakes, collecting donations and taking photos with staff and customers.

The IHOP team at the Chicago N. Halsted St. location took some time out of their busy morning to snap a photo with Lurie Children’s patient Aggie and Miss Illinois.

This IHOP team in Naperville covered their front entrance area with balloon icons, representing all the donations collected for Lurie Children’s.

Patient Champion Sammy stopped by the Bolingbrook IHOP to enjoy pancakes and thanked managers and staff, pictured here.

On behalf of all the patients and families cared for at Lurie Children’s, thank you IHOP, for an incredible 2020 National Pancake Day!
