IHOP National Pancake Day is March 12th! Eat pancakes, help kids!
Visit participating IHOP locations on March 12th to celebrate National Pancake Day and help kids treated at OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital.
It’s easy to celebrate IHOP National Pancake Day! Here’s how:
- Visit a participating IHOP location
on March 12th and donate to your local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital in exchange for a free short-stack of pancakes. - Invite your friends and family to join you and share that you’re supporting your local children’s hospital on social media using #NTLPancakeDay
You might think it’s just a day to get a free short stack of delicious IHOP buttermilk pancakes, but it actually is a day that makes a BIG difference for kids treated at our hospital. Kids like Brayden.

14-year-old Brayden Sparkman had a strategy to stay strong in his fight against cancer: try your best and lead by example. Throughout his chemo treatments, he found ways to stay positive. When he was too sick to play with his baseball team, he showed up to cheer from the stands. Today, this teenager — who can clock a 56 mph fast ball — is back in the game, having beat acute lymphoblastic leukemia. His cancer is in remission and his future looks bright.
Why you should help?
Did you know that 62 kids enter a Children’s Miracle Network Hospital every minute? That’s more than 10 million kids every year. Donations raised at IHOP on National Pancake Day help fund critical treatments and healthcare services, pediatric medical equipment and charitable care.
Donations to Doernbecher lead to new treatment and better care for kids by advancing medical research and supporting the work of pediatric specialists. As part of Oregon’s only academic health center, Doernbecher is the only place in the state where breakthrough pediatric research quickly translates into new treatments and access to life-changing care, giving families new hope
Thanks to IHOP for supporting our hospital and to all of you for enjoying free pancakes and helping kids!
