Your child could be the 2020 IHOP Kid Chef

The call for entries for the IHOP Kid Chef contest is now open. Until Jan. 5, 2020, current and former CMN Hospitals patients ages 6-13 are invited to dream up an out-of-this-world pancake creation. One young chef will be selected as the 2020 IHOP Kid Chef and win trips to New York City and Disney World. The winning delicious pancake idea, along with the 2020 IHOP Kid Chef, will be featured nationally on a menu handout for a limited time and will serve as the face of a fundraising campaign for CMN Hospitals.

Here’s how it works:

1. Select a pancake flavor and add up to 5 of IHOP’s most popular toppings and fillings from the list on the submission page – let your imagination run wild!
2. Name the pancake recipe (e.g. Sandy’s Super-Duper Strawberry Blitz).
3. Have your child describe their pancake in 100 words or less and why they chose the name and ingredients that they did.
4. Film a video, no more than 1 minute in length, of your child talking about their pancake creation and upload it.
5. Share your child’s Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals story in 250 words or less and tell us more about what makes them special (interests, hobbies, personality, etc.).

Prizes:
One (1) Grand Prize winner will:

• Be named “IHOP Kid Chef” for 2020 and have their pancake sold for a limited time on the IHOP menu.
• Be given the chance to participate in IHOP Kid Chef events and media appearances in New York City.
• Receive a trip to Orlando, Florida, March 29-31, 2021, to attend the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals’ Children’s Hospitals Week celebration; includes tickets to Disney World, plus airfare and lodging for the winner and family.

Winners will be selected by IHOP for their creativity in the naming and description of their pancake idea.

The winning child and their family will be notified in April or May.
