IHOP Flips it Forward with Pumpkins, Pancakes and Patients

It may be fall, but in Florida, it doesn’t feel like sweater weather quite yet. Thankfully, we can still enjoy pumpkin spice and all things nice to get us feeling festive, which is exactly what our partners from IHOP did this month.

Currently raising funds in their restaurants by selling the iconic Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals Miracle Balloon, associates from IHOP are always asking to do more for the kids. On October 11, team members from multiple restaurants across Central Florida came together to do just that – serving up buttermilk and pumpkin pancakes at Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children.

Inviting patients, families and team members to partake in the pancake party, IHOP served up hundreds of pancakes cooked to order, complete with the all toppings you could want, including maple syrup, chocolate sauce and even whipped cream!

In addition to a delicious meal, kids at the party could get crafty making their own decorations with pumpkins and fall leaves, as well as enjoy a game of jack-o-lantern cornhole!

For patients and families who couldn’t make it downstairs to the party, IHOP was taking bedside orders and making special deliveries to ensure everyone could enjoy a warm breakfast cooked just for them.

Through October 20, IHOP is supporting Orlando Health Arnold Palmer with it’s fundraising campaign in restaurants, and guests who donate $5 or more will receive a coupon for $5 off their next visit. And through November 3, IHOP is serving up a free kids meal with the purchase of an adult entree, every day from 4 to 10 pm.

Thank you to our IHOP partners for their commitment to our mission, and for making a difference one stack at a time.
